Serpens has been continuing on with releases for the MacenWolf project; a project that seeks to port most mods from the now-defunct Macintosh Wolf3D community to Wolf4SDL, and doing so in a way that tries to keep the experience as authentic to the original as possible.
This week sees two more mapsets by the infamous Laz Rojas!
Mutant’s Lair (Shown Left) is a 10 map project that follows a story very similar to that of Episode 2 of the original Wolfenstein 3D.
The Haunted Castle (Shown Right) spans seven maps, and does something not often seen, utilizing the Pac-Man ghosts as a central element rather than something to be tucked away in a secret level.
Both games are free, and can be played using a copy of either MacenWolf: The Second Encounter or MacenWolf: The Third Encounter. Make sure your games are updated to the most recent version (Version 1.08, from December 2020).
